Founded in 1946, The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysore is one of Karnataka’s oldest and most prestigious engineering institutions. Recognized by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the institute attained autonomous status under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, in 2007. NIE Mysore is also accredited by NAAC, ensuring high academic standards. As the second-oldest engineering college in Karnataka and the first in Mysore, the institute has a legacy of excellence in technical education.
