The National Testing Agency has extended the deadline for submitting bank account details for the NEET-UG 2026 fee refund process. Eligible candidates can now complete the submission process till 22 June 2026 (11:50 PM) through the official NEET website.
According to the latest update, students must provide:
- account holder name,
- bank account number,
- IFSC code,
- and bank name
to receive the refund successfully. Authorities have also advised candidates to carefully verify all details before submission, as incorrect banking information may delay the refund process.
Reports suggest that nearly 13 lakh candidates have already completed the refund formality. The NTA has additionally recommended uploading a cancelled cheque for smoother verification, although it is not mandatory.
The refund process comes amid the ongoing developments related to the NEET-UG 2026 controversy and the announcement of the re-exam scheduled for 21 June 2026. Students across India are currently preparing for the re-test while simultaneously monitoring official notices regarding admit cards, exam centres, and counselling updates.
Education experts believe the extension was provided to ensure that no eligible student misses the opportunity to complete the refund procedure due to technical or verification issues.
Candidates have been instructed to rely only on the official NEET portal for updates and avoid unofficial websites or misleading social media claims.
