Candidates aspiring to appear for JEE Advanced must fulfill specific conditions set by the authorities. Failing to meet these requirements will result in disqualification. Students are strongly advised to review all criteria and cross-check their application form before submission to avoid any errors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JEE Advanced 2025 was scheduled to be held in two sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paper 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM IST<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paper 2: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM IST<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The official announcement was made on December 2, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Overview of JEE Advanced 2025 Eligibility Criteria<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To gain admission to IITs through JEE Advanced, candidates must satisfy five key eligibility criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Criterion 1 \u2013 JEE Main 2025 Qualification. <\/strong>Candidates must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Qualify in JEE Main 2025 (Paper 1).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be among the top 2,50,000 candidates based on performance in JEE Main.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The category-wise breakdown is as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Category<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>JEE Mains AIR<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><tr><td>OPEN<\/td><td>96,187<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>OPEN PwD<\/td><td>5,063<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>EWS<\/td><td>23,750<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>EWS PwD<\/td><td>1,250<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>OBC<\/td><td>64,125<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>OCB PwD<\/td><td>3,375<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>SC<\/td><td>35,625<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>SC PwD<\/td><td>1,875<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>ST<\/td><td>17,812<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>ST PwD<\/td><td>938<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Total<\/strong><\/td><td><strong>2,50,000<\/strong><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: Total numbers may exceed 2,50,000 due to ties in ranks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Criterion 2 \u2013 Number of Attempts: <\/strong>Candidates can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in two consecutive years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Criterion 3 \u2013 Age Limit:<\/strong> Candidates must be born on or after October 1, 2000. A 5-year relaxation is granted for candidates from&nbsp; SC, ST, and PwD categories (i.e., born on or after October 1, 1995). Candidates should verify any updates to the age criteria in the official JEE Advanced 2025 brochure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Criterion 4 \u2013 Previous IIT Admissions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ineligible: <\/strong>Candidates previously admitted to any IIT or ISM, even if the seat was accepted or admission was canceled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligible: <\/strong>Candidates who were allocated an IIT seat in 2024 butdid not report at the reporting center or online<strong> h<\/strong>ad their admission canceled before the final round, or Withdrew before the last round of seat allotment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Criterion 5 \u2013 Class 12th or Equivalent Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligible:<\/strong> Those who appeared for Class 12 in 2024 or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Not Eligible<\/strong>: Those who first appeared in Class 12 in 2023 or earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Exception: <\/strong>If a board declared results for the 2022\u20132023 academic session on or after September 21, 2023, such candidates may still be eligible\u2014provided all other criteria are met. If results were announced before that date, and withheld for any reason, the candidate is not eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Final Note: <\/strong>To appear for JEE Advanced 2025, candidates must simultaneously meet all five eligibility criteria.
